Mycopunk Resources: Every Currency and Material

Mycopunk has six resources: GATS, Romphus, Gussula, Beezia, Yeuco and Saxonite. Four of them are regional fungi, one is a mineral, and one is money. Crafting, gear purchases and node upgrades all draw from the same six.

Quick answer

Every Mycopunk resource — GATS, Romphus, Gussula, Beezia, Yeuco and Saxonite — with acquisition methods, region drops and what each is spent on.

The six resources

Resource Rarity What it is How to get it
GATS Standard Galactic currency, standardised by Hamhock Saxon in 3989 Mission and optional-objective rewards
Romphus Rare Fungus that grows on enemy shells Spawns on enemies; destroy the infected area
Gussula Rare Docile fungus on a stem Unarmed strike; it may evade, so hit it twice
Beezia Rare Fungus kept in a locked container Solve the container's three-part lock to release it
Yeuco Rare Sticky fruiting body that bonds with metal Coat enemy cores with it, then destroy them
Saxonite Epic Radioactive mineral with gravity and time effects Mined deposits, mission rewards, boss rewards

GATS

The only currency. Missions pay it, optional objectives pay extra, and everything from a weapon unlock to a node upgrade costs it. The reward table scales with threat: a threat 1 mission pays 67–100 GATS, threat 3 pays 100–150.

Regulated Rampage, the repeatable priority assignment, pays 44–65 GATS per run — less than a standard mission, which is why it is a filler mission rather than a farming one.

Romphus

Grows on enemy shells, and the only way to collect it is to destroy the growth without destroying the shell. It spawns rarely, appears on the outside of the enemy model, and is most common on brutes and abominations.

Romphus is the pink-red resource and the one used most by fire and blood upgrades.

Gussula

Sits on a stem in the open. You harvest it with an unarmed melee, and it jumps away when you swing — the standard method is to hit it, chase, and hit it again on the second jump. It is the only resource that can run from you.

Beezia

Sealed in a container with a three-part lock:

  1. Toggle the switch marked is_open
  2. Turn all six dots green
  3. Align the outer ring's raised segments with the inner ring's notches

The container is a small puzzle per node, and the resource only becomes collectable after it opens.

Yeuco

Applied, not mined. You throw a green yeuco pod onto an enemy core, then kill the enemy to get the resource out. Missing the core wastes the pod, so it is the only resource with a skill requirement attached.

Saxonite

The endgame material: radioactive, and the only resource used to reroll Contraband and Oddity nodes (999 Saxonite for a craft-new roll, 4 Saxonite per additional upgrade). It comes from mining deposits, from mission rewards at high threat, and from boss drops — Ground Zero pays it at an 82% chance, Amalgamation Hunt pays 2.

Region-to-resource map

Each region supplies two of the four fungi:

Region Resources
Gravity Farms Romphus, Gussula
Titan City Romphus, Yeuco
Flourishing Desert Gussula, Beezia
Moldy Tundra Beezia, Yeuco

If you need one specific fungus, you farm the two regions that drop it rather than the mission type.

Other pickups

Missions also drop Oxythane Tickets (spend on the hub wheel), Strange Components (Oxythane crafting), scrap of four rarities (crafting) and health chunks. Scrap is not one of the six — it is a separate crafting currency with its own rarity ladder.

FAQ

How many resources are in Mycopunk?

Six: GATS, Romphus, Gussula, Beezia, Yeuco and Saxonite. Scrap, tickets and components are separate item types.

What is the rarest resource?

Saxonite — it is the only Epic-tier resource, and it is the only way to reroll the top two node tiers.

How do you get Yeuco fast?

Coat cores on brutes and abominations; they have more cores than grunts, so a single high-threat mission pays several pods' worth.

For the rest of the reference set, the enemy database lists every body and breakable part, and the resources guide explains where each map material drops.

Sources

Threat, mission, element and resource values were read from the Mycopunk 1.0 build and cross-checked against the official patch notes and the Steam store page. Where a rule is only described in player-written notes, the Steam guide index is the second source.
